MFEC Invited to Speak on “Sustainability: The Landscape of Sustainable Development and ESG, and Future Opportunities in the Engineering Profession”

MFEC, led by Chaidit Sittisunthornwat (Park), Digital Sustainability Specialist, was invited to speak at Chulalongkorn University on the topic “Sustainability: The Landscape of Sustainable Development and ESG, and Future Opportunities in the Engineering Profession.” The goal was to impart perspectives and understanding of sustainability and ESG to engineering students. In this session, Park discussed the fundamental principles of “Sustainability” and “ESG,” two essential concepts that foster organizational sustainability and promote sustainable growth for society. He highlighted the contrasting views of Inside-Out and Outside-In approaches. Sustainability involves a company considering its impact from the inside out (Inside-Out), meaning it undertakes activities to achieve business goals while also considering the impact on the environment and society beyond the organization, such as reducing energy usage or minimizing waste from production processes. DataWise exhibited at KRUNGSRI TECH DAY 2024: Technology for People, showcasing the latest digital technology trends for businesses. At the booth, DataWise presented its 4 Pillars along with use cases for each pillar:  – Modernized Databases  – Intelligent Data Platform   – Advanced Analytics  – Artificial Intelligence  The goal was to demonstrate how these solutions can be applied to address challenges or leverage data effectively, enabling customers to analyze and derive insights from both internal and external sources. Additionally, DataWise was invited to present on the topic “Build Real-Time Fraud Detection and Analytics” by Mr. Withawat Suwanarit, Digital Platform Manager at MFEC, and Ms. Rununrath Jarornsukkhaphap, Digital Platform Engineer Team Lead at MFEC. They shared insights on how to capture real-time data, process it immediately, and integrate it with other systems to meet various business demands. DataWise participated in a seminar on the topic “From Strategy to Execution and Utilizing AI in Data Governance and Data Management,” organized by DAMA Thailand-Bangkok.  The seminar encouraged businesses to prioritize AI governance in Thailand and integrate AI across various sectors. It offered insights into applying AI in the medical and banking industries through real-world use cases, allowing attendees to understand the key components for successful data governance projects and AI innovations, which serve as guidelines for effective governance. The seminar also covered Data Management Professional Certification, ISO 8000 standards, and the “soft side” of Organizational Change Management—essential elements for achieving success and ensuring compliance in data governance.
